Peripheral arterial disease (PAD) is characterized by a discomfort and pain of affected lower limb during walking activity. And it is commonly misconceived as other disease showing pseudoclaudication such as spinal stenosis, or hip arthritis. We describe the case of a 65-year-old male presenting with left lower limb pain. His symptom was evoked by about 50 m¡¯s walking and relived by relaxation with sitting position, and on the radiologic examinations performed 8 month ago, Computed Tomography (CT) angiography finding was non-specific, but L3-4 spinal stenosis was reported on Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). According to these imaging tests and patient¡¯s history, he was diagnosed with a post spinal surgery syndrome owing to foraminal stenosis. However, symptoms persisted after transforaminal epidural injection. We experienced a case of PAD misconceived as post spinal surgery syndrome owing to spinal stenosis and present details of this case with a review of pertinent literature.
